A copilot when you want the wheel.

The permission is a sentence, not a toggle in a settings page

You say it and it happens. “Yes you can run in copilot mode.” It is a command, deterministic, not something a classifier gets a vote on, because the words that hand over or take back supervision of somebody’s book are too important to be a probability.

Taking it back is the same. Say so and Lewis is back to holding every draft.

What Lewis does with it

• Works down the ranked list rather than waiting for you to name the next person.
• Throttles. Five drafts are five sends spaced out, not five sends.
• Re-asks without repeating, which sounds obvious and is the thing a rewrite composed from the draft alone always gets wrong, because the obvious next question is always the one already sent.
• Comes back when there is something a licence has to answer.

What it never does with it

• Send anything a guardrail blocks. Copilot changes who says yes to a draft. It does not change what may be a draft.
• Compose to a lead you have marked do-not-contact.
• Text somebody who has opted out. That check is keyed on the phone number, global across every seat in the brokerage, and re-run at the moment of sending.
• Make a commitment. A date, a time or a figure is still a hold, still yours.

One ask at a time, and it goes last

The first approval used to produce five things at once: a copilot pitch, a “sent”, a “next up”, a draft for the next lead with its own “say send”, and tomorrow’s briefing time. Two questions and a change of subject, and the second question had already queued a real message to somebody nobody had agreed to text.

Now the offer is one text, it leads with the ask, and nothing follows it. Whatever you answer picks the list back up, so a “no” does not leave the assistant promising to keep going and then stopping.

A turn asks you at most one thing, and the ask is the last thing in it. That rule is checked on the way out, not intended on the way in.
